The Middle Georgia Technical College Child Development Center is designed for students training to enter the childcare and education fields. The building is divided into a children's laboratory wing and an adult classroom wing. Both spaces are accessible and monitored by the reception/administration area at the main entrance. The children's wing includes classrooms, a large reading/play area, and outdoor shaded play spaces. The design focuses on providing a supportive backdrop to children's artwork and other creative endeavors. Areas of the building are designed for children to color and imprint. The adult learning classrooms are designed to simulate typical work environments that students will encounter in the teaching and child care fields. The building provides a high level of security for the children. Their areas are separated from the remainder of the building and accessible through card access.

The Child Development Center is an aesthetic, beautiful space. The design reflects an attention to detail in every environmental feature with no corner, wall, floor, or ceiling space overlooked.
