The Macon Coliseum serves a diverse group of patrons and hosts a variety of events. JMA was retained to provide a new front door and entry experience. JMA designed a sculptural gateway to subtly reflect the location of the coliseum. This gateway is supported by a structural glass system which opens the dark 60's era building to natural light. The expansive glass wall establishes an inviting relationship between the lobby space and exterior plaza. Curved walls in the lobby were designed to facilitate the flow of patrons and disguise service areas such as vending.
