Westfield Schools
The Arts and Sciences Building is a 24,000 sf addition to the Westfield Schools, a private prepatory school. This facility provides scientific laboratories, and instructional spaces for the fine arts and performing arts. The design includes a state of the art recital hall, foreign language labs, art labs, choral rooms, a biology lab, and a chemistry lab. JMA designed the acoustical envelope of the recital hall to accommodate everything from speeches to instrumental music performances. Sound reinforcement is included for use when needed. The biology and chemistry labs include level 2 fume hoods, and oxygen and natural gas at all stations. The exterior development of the building relates to the surrounding campus materials and fenestration providing a seamless integration. The building was designed and constructed on an expedited schedule to open for the upcoming semester.

This facility has moved our arts and science curriculum forward in a very positive way. A very tailored and responsive solution to our instructional needs.
